That’s good and all but in modern mma, bjj isn’t that effective .. that said, at hvwt with his size and athleticism, he should be able to utilize it ..
he’s not just a random nfl guy coming in - he’s been in the gyms for years and has a solid bjj base .
Guys like this were what many of us expected to fill up the hvwt division by this point but it hasn’t worked that way - instead we have a lot of sloppy fat brawler types ..

Gane is absolutely going to embarrass Alex. Going to be a dominant performance from Gane. Gane never been even closed to being rocked in a heavyweight fight. And he’s been hit flush by monsters like Francis and Derek Lewis

Well you said things didn’t work out with Tom so I was responding by saying their fight was only like 3 minutes so we didn’t get a definitive result.
Alex and Tom are completely different fighters. I would favor Gane for sure but it’s gonna be a competitive fight. And Alex’s ground game is probably better than Francis lol. Plus Alex is a world class kickboxer, not some schmuck.

If you re-watch that Alex vs Jiri 1 fight, Jiri landed one or two decent punches and backs Alex to teh fence early. Imagine if that had of been a HW hitting him!

I think a lot of people are viewing this match up from a who’s the better kickboxer/MMA kickboxer. Forgetting the NATUARAL size difference.
Alex is obviously a better striker than Ngganou. But I bet Francis would take his head damn near off if they fought!
