Just because you have a college degree doesnt mean its a degree in something useful.

I didn’t watch the video but in many cases it makes sense. If you have a degree and try to get a job unrelated to your field of study, many employees will assume you are seeking the job as a temporary place holder until you get a job related to your area of expertise.

True but this is all degrees. STEM included.

He went over that as some make that choice. He however pointed out one girl who got her Bachelors. Did 2 interns within while getting it and was not hired. Her bright idea was to go back to get her masters and then do interns again hoping to get hired.

Just because you have college degree doesn’t guarantee you a job, even if it is in something useful.

I feel bad for college students that got useful degrees and still can’t make enough to pay their loan and survive. They will be so underwater they will never pay their loan off

To me there is something wrong where being a waiter pay more than a lot of good jobs that require college. I knew a girl that was an emt and her pay was shit, she could make twice as much being a waitress in a shitty diner

I have to hire college grads for some positions, they are a weird mix of exceptional to worthless.

Luckily they have to be stem degrees, but some of my interns and volunteers do such a better job. The job we do is hard work, youre outside 80% of the time in wilderness conditions, so that weeds out a lot of folks. I have had “men” quit two days in because “its not what they thought”

A lot of kids just have zero life experience and were never taught about hard work. Most of all these kids have zero grit. I always look for people that played sports, ive noticed its a good qualifier, so is hunting or farming

What is it?

This is true also, starting jobs in my field, which again require a stem degree, 35k a year

True and even some of the good jobs required way to much schools expenses.

I was seeing that a dentist regularly costs more in terms of cost to get a degree then most other doctorate degrees. Its something like 400k from your average uni. One guy went to a top notch one and spent 900k.

Becoming a dentist is expensive, especially if you go into business yourself. You have a student loan plus a million in equipment and the build out. I know one dentist office that does unneccessary procedures to make money

Thats all of them. My dentist office wanted to charge $75 per tooth for the really good pain killers and I said fuck that. Im not paying almost 2500 for a step up in pain killers.

All those fuckers do that. It’s considered good business on their end. Same with eyeglass places. Gaming their prices to max out insurance coverage and get more. Everything is a racket.

“Your basic prescription update exam maxed out your insurance, but we strongly recommend the extra-deep macular precision exam that detects possible future issues. That will have to be paid in cash or credit. It’s only 200 dollars.”
