The NBA and UFC are on somewhat similar paths…kind of.
The culture sucks now and the rules have allowed both “sports” to be watered down.
Obviously comparing a ball sport to a combat sport is kind of silly – but there are still some parallels to be drawn.

I feel like people around our ages were blessed to witness a lot of “peaks”.
We were around or at least adjacent to peak music, peak movies, peak sports, and peak combat sports.
Obviously there is a lot of nuance within all of that – but generally speaking – I think my point stands.
Having seen and lived those “peaks” – means we are also uniquely qualified to point out when something is not on that level.
