Dana Lands Cover of TIME Magazine

UFC CEO Dana White is no stranger to magazine covers.

The MMA kingpin is on the latest cover of TIME magazine ahead of the upcoming UFC White House event on June 14 in Washington, DC. Fans of both White and the product are unlikely to find anything new in the wordy article, which seems directed at the uneducated reader unfamiliar with White’s relationship with President Trump.

That said, White made it a point to remind readers he’s MASCULINE.

“What is toxic masculinity? Who has it? Who’s too masculine? There’s a difference between being a douchebag and being masculine,” White told author Sean Gregory. “I am unapologetically masculine. Talking about [mental health issues] publicly, I just feel like it opens the door to make young men think that it’s okay to just f-cking go, ‘Oh, I’m having mental [struggles].’ Handle it behind closed doors. Don’t show that weakness to anybody.”

White used to show us what happened behind those doors; but alas, no more.

UFC White House will be headlined by the lightweight title fight pitting Ilia Topuria (c) against Justin Gaethje. Prior to that, former two-division champion Alex Pereira moves up to heavyweight to battle Ciryl Gane for the interim strap. Elsewhere on the card, Sean O’Malley and his “ugly” Fight Kit take on Aiemann Zahabi in bantamweight action.
