Tyson Fury comeback fight announced for April 11 on Netflix
Tyson Fury will get a chance to fight on home soil, live on Netflix, in a newly announced event for April 11.
Has there been any talk in where Turki Al-Sheikh stands in all of this? He’s funded most big fights and Dana’s boxing efforts so far under the Ring banner. Does he become part of Zuffa Boxing and let Ring die?
He’s already involved
The Saudis own half of Zuffa boxing. Saudis fund fighter purses. TKO do all the work, and keep all the profits. But the value of the company is grown, and both share half of that.
So that’s my question. Does the Ring title and rankings die? That was the de facto “gold standard” for rankings with its history. We’re losing a lot of boxing’s lineage in the name of TKO.
lol WBC put out message saying ‘don’t panic’.
No. I am not 100% clear on how they ae going to link, but no.
Turki owns Ring and is building the brand. Hiring people, shows, cards, YT stuff. Max Kellerman hosts a show on Ring YT.
They are putting on a card next week Shakur vs Teo.
I think how it will work is Zuffa and Ring will work in cahoots. Like Batman and Robin. If a good fighter is fighting on Ring it stops him fighting on PBC or Top Rank. This hurts their prospects of getting good TV deals. Hurting the competition.
I think Turki’s Ring, and Turki/Danas Zuffa, are going to try and control market share and drive others out of business.

Ring vs Zuffa cards. Dana finally gives in to co-promotion ![]()
Did he mention how much they were charging Bud to hold their belt?
WBC say to Zuffa’s main event guy that they know he really loves them best.
if you guys think that The UFC league of Boxing is gonna make boxing better, you were never a fan of boxing to begin with

Strange claim. Especially considering Top Rank/PBC/Golden Boy have no TV deals, and have run their businesses into the ground.
Boxing right now is dependent on DAZN loss, Turki loss. The sport shrinks every year. And PPV is over because of easy piracy.
Boxing is in a terrible state. Maybe Zuffa can bring some energy to this flailing sport.
@AstraeusTheLight looks like it will be business as usual for Turki/Ring for those who don’t want to join Zuffa boxing.

Dana White has promised boxers a new deal. But the deal he’s offering looks worse than the old one. Will Congress give Zuffa the power to dominate boxing?
