It’s probably correct if you can get a clean shot on the jaw or a shot to the nose, throat, eyes, solar plexus or balls. It will dissuade a lot of wannabes. However, I would just rather avoid the whole thing. It doesn’t take much power to KO someone but the same shot that KOs them could kill them. Even if the fucker deserved it (which in most cases they would), you will still have to prove that you needed to hit them so had a legal right to do it. I’ve known 2 people who killed people with 1 shot in a street fight and in both occasions it had been instigated by the other person, they had tried to get out of the situation, they only hit them once and they got custodial sentences.
