Jake Paul has a date and location set for his next boxing match.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer returns to the the squared circle Dec. 24 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, headlining an MVP event almost exactly a year after having his jaw broken in his latest boxing experience against heavyweight knockout artist Anthony Joshua. Paul had to undergo multiple surgeries to fix his fractured jaw.
The promotion has yet to announce the opponent and where the event will air.
“I’ve spent years proving people wrong, taking risks, and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I’d face,” Paul stated in a release. “Nothing that’s happened has changed my belief in myself or what I’m working toward. I’m hungrier than ever, and on Thursday, December 24, I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey.”
“Dubai is a city that thinks big, breaks boundaries, and doesn’t believe in limits,” he added. “That’s exactly the kind of place I want to make my comeback. We’ve got plenty of names on the list; let’s see who signs the contract. Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and somebody’s getting knocked out.”
According to Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder and CEO of MVP, “We’re finalizing an opponent worthy of Jake’s return and look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.”
Paul holds a professional boxing record of 12-2 after Joshua snapped his six-fight winning streak, a run that included victories against veterans boxers in Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chávez Jr., and MMA stars Nate Diaz and Mike Perry.
