As the thread title says. My academy has a beginner’s class so I rolled with a couple of beginners and a blue belt. Learned a cross collar choke, basic guard pass, and a scissor sweep.
I trained Muay Thai on and off for a long time, maybe 7-8 years of training total, but I haven’t been in an academy training since 2018. I’ve been training alone in my garage and while my son trains, hitting the bag, sparring with a buddy occasionally. But this is my first time doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
I’ll try to post what I learn in here. Maybe you fags can give me some technical advice on modifications or set ups I can use for my fundamentals. I wanna be creative with my set ups and experiment with them, I don’t wanna do the same shit as everyone else. If I do all the same shit, later on when I decide to compete it will be easy to predict what I’m gonna do. I want to have a game with very good fundamentals but hard to predict.
The guard pass I learned was one knee in asscrack, extend other leg straight back. Push partner’s knee down and pin it, then step over. Not sure what the pass is called.
