He will never reach the height of UFC Brock Lesnar I will guarantee that
Also he does need to get a sword tattoo on his body that’d help if he wants any chance of being a fraction of what prime Brock was

He’s already made the same mistake Brock made. I will forever stand on this hill that if Lesnar had gotten into MMA training the moment he finished college he would have gone down as the greatest fighter in mma history not just HW history
Sure he would not have been as famous but Jesus fuck his mma career and skills would have been so much better
He started late and still managed to become HW champ of the world. Now imagine if he had been trained earlier

Gable’s wrestling accomplishments speak for themselves…
The problem is he doesn’t love wrestling…
I see very little reason to believe he will use the one skillset that truly sets him apart to dominate a second hand sport…
My guess is he will appeal to the backwards hat guys in the crowd and try to lamp people with the dancing bear routine…
That might work against 95% of unauthentic heavies but absolutely will not against the few decent ones at the top of the UFC…
Another guy that can’t wrestle without being exhausted. Ben Askren was the last American that could actually wrestle the entire fight.
Will counter if Brock got into MMA out of college he likely loses to Fedor, Nog, Sylvia, Werdum, and Arlovski.
Ben was just the last american who made the distinct choice to use the most dominant martial art there is to win a contest with ease…
But that does not appease the meathead “fans” and he did not get his shot in the UFC until he was well past his sell by date…
This isn’t rocket science…
I know we don’t have much to go on but judging by the short clips I’ve seen of him, he looked god awful in that little exchange with Jon Jones. Looked like he had no idea what to do in that position.
I agree the main reason American wrestlers can’t wrestle the whole fight is because they don’t train to do so. Too busy trying to learn to strike.
Not sure Gable has that level of dirty grit in him and if he can throw hands.
he has potential to do well It is no given
He’s been training since before he left college. He was heavily involved in Jones last two fight camps and trained alongside Gordon Ryan. He’s already shown some training on his Instagram and he’s throwing question mark kicks & flying elbows flying knees. He is obviously still a novice in striking but he’s a truly freakish athlete.
Doesn’t matter how good he is at wrestling if he doesn’t like getting hit. Almost all of these wrestlers are athletes first and not fighters. Where are the Mark Colemans and Kevin Randlemans?
Yup. Not many guys are getting signed to the UFC at 1-0 then being given a title shot at 2-1, or fighting a LHW sized 45 year old for the belt.
it is an entirely different landscape in wrestling, MMA, and drug testing right now…
as a wrestler, if you are on the olympic ladder (or even close), you can still scratch a living out of wrestling now… you could not back then…
and no one has to explain how much MMA has changed in the last 20 years…
ha… just thought for a second and realized those guys were 30 years ago…
fuk me…
how old am i?

Is that a fkn croissant in his singlet?
smartest thing gable has done is use that clown to get a decent contract for MMA…
