I don’t think the eye poke was that bad. easy for me to say from where I sit, but I feel like dude had a gut feeling that ciril was better prepared than he expected.

I think Aspinal was deffinitly not looking forward to the remainder of the fight. He was shook by Cyrils size, movement, and how he underhooked and circled outof the takedown attempt.

Because Anthony Smith is a coward who’s ends his fights curled up in a ball, repeatedly. Not every fighter is looking for a way out. We’ll see what the medical results say. Think we’re looking at a scratched cornea

I actually almost made that bet even though I wanted Tom to win lol.
I always thought Gane was a dicey fight for any HW that was going to strike with him like I assumed Tom would.
Seemed like he had an athlete’s mentality rather than a fighter’s mentality. But I don’t blame him, whatsoever.
He just took heavy damage via an illegal action against a very formidable opponent. He’s not going to continue unless he’s at his best. The illegal move negates that.
The doctor didn’t stop the fight. Tom declined to continue. I’m guessing he understood the rules or was informed of the no-contest. Things might have been different if his not continuing led to an immediate loss on his record. But then the damage was caused by an illegal move so that wouldn’t have been a factor.
