Fair enough. I was only curious.
With small ones, I swing them by the back legs. Itās always a full body motion for me. I canāt deal with having to swing them twice.
With the big ones, itās a bullet in a very specific spot and at a very specific angle.

We did that with goats that were eradicated. Developed our cut, not slash and power on thrists and specidic targeting.

I watched cesarian and made jokes to my wofe and my wofe rolled her eyeā¦doc actually kinda short laugh. Verry cool, followed my daighter to nursery and watched through window to make sure they didnt mislable her. Was impossible though, she was the 8.5lb one and easy to recognizeš¤£

Hog farming is just a series of cycles. Heat cycle, farrowing cycle, wean cycle, vaccine cycle, etc.
Usually, you c-section a sow because of a uterine prolapse. These can be caused by a few things and the main one is the quality of feed. Weād have five or six pre-farrow prolapses per week if we got a run of bad feed. Other times, weād go a month without a single one. Most of the time itās somewhere in the middle.
I havenāt had to do one yet since I started working for the current company.
No patching up because you only do them when the animal is going to die anyway.
I have a couple pretty wild c-section stories if you guys want to hear them.

I carry a kershaw brookside in my pocket and a schrade schf 37 in my pack that goes pretty much every where i do. Its more for camping/outdoorsy stuff.

Group size should be measured center of hole, rather than outer edge

Iāve found the best way to measure groups is to zero the calipers on a bullet and measure outside edges. In this case I zeroed to .243ā. It gives an actual point to measure instead of estimating the centers of the hole. Iād be super excited if that was .66 outside to outside, but with the calipers zeroed at .243ā the .66ā is the center to center measurement.
