The UFC Hall of Fame comes under fire due to some of the politics that need to be played in order to be nominated

Big John McCarthy

Big John should be at the top of that list.
I don’t really think any of them should be in except big John and I guess possibly tank. If you start letting in some of those other guys you are setting the bar ridiculously low and you have hundreds of people who could make an argument for

I remember when the UFC encyclopedia came out.
Guys like Royce, Severn, and Liddell got 2-4 page spreads.
Ken and Frank shared a page.
From that moment I knew that the powers behind the scenes at uFC are nothing more than propagandists for the brand.
Wasn’t Sherk like 39-4 with only loses to Hughes, GSP, BJ and Frankie?
Weird that I still don’t think of him as a hall of famer, but that’s pretty damned impressive

He should be in it by now and I am really surprised he isn’t.
Was a HW Champion who made his UFC debut in 2000 and is still going today and is the current BKFC HW Champion in 2026. That’s insane.
Not to mention the records he holds in the division all while taking a giant break from the UFC in the middle of his career to compete in other promotions then comes back and still holds records for longevity in the HW Division.
