How much does your bag weigh
Ive added sand and or rubber mulch to heavy bags before. Works well and there are a few ways to go about it to get your desired result in weight and density.
I’ve made them heavy and hard as fuck in the lower third/quarter, but Ive also just added weight by layering sand bags and doing a super tight rag pack around them as you go up.
Ive done pure sand in the smaller heavy bags before, but them shits can get rough hahaha.

I started with a heavy bag, then eventually got a thai bag and ill never go back; i prefer the thai bag.
If you really wanna just focus mostly on boxing and hitting hard, id add an aqua bag to your arsenal. Theyre a ton of fun to hit!

Thai bag, aqua bag and a sway bag, no can defend for a home gym IMO.
