lol for later

I’m not saying the kid didn’t deserve to get knocked the fuck out, he did.
You’re so tough. It’s actually assault and battery so I think it would be considered violence by law
i suppose if u get technical, both the push and the punch are assault
push = simple
punch = aggravated
Assault and battery? Jesus Christ, you guys over the pond are so dramatic. Like being charged with kidnapping if i stopped you leaving a room whilst we were having an argument. It was a little shove from one teenager to another. The only assault was the punch from behind![]()
It’s the law dork. I’m not saying it was extreme violence but it is technically battery tough guy

I wouldn’t say I was tough. But …

This.
A good shove or an Iron Sheik style humbling would have been more important.
He barely put any pressure on the kid.

Not only to add to the physical assault of pushing his head into the ground after the whistle, he did it to humiliate him.
It is odd how “assault” is often something courts/law don’t want to take up with regards to sports. It has to go way beyond the pale of what is considered normal in the sport.
You have things like McSorely getting charged, or that lineman that belly flopped on that downed guy and broke his damn spine, etc, but so much that would be considered assault outside of sport is not when done within the context of a sport.
Bitch move.
Both are shitheads. But the second is assault.
That sucker punch wasn’t very technical and the punch seemed weak. That poor sportsman must have a glass head to be KO’d by that punch from behind.
I bet the little prick learned a lesson in situational awareness.
Play stupid games….
Yes, because getting sucker punched at wrestling meets is a normal event
The coward punch!
Yes, because getting sucker punched at wrestling meets is a normal event
And shoving somebody’s face into the mat and walking away acting like life doesn’t come with reactive consequences is just as normal.
