Tom seems like a sincere person, so i was inclined to believe his reaction to the eyepoke at the time of the fight. Given how much it seemed to affect him that night, im not surprised hes still having issues. I feel like other fighters have been blinded for less.

It has fuck all to do with the gloves. It has to do with giving opponents an advantage to fight dirty that is not punished. It’s become a cultural issue in the UFC. Certain fighters and even certain gyms have guys that do this shit.
MMAGURU said Gane does atleast one low blow and at least one eyepoke every fight and nearly all his finishes include shots to the back of the head. His teammate (maybe the dude that beat Izzy recently I can’t remember) does the same shit.
Almost every UFC fight we see eye pokes and low blows.
I only watched a few ONE shows but noticed far less low blows and eyepokes both.
We get these in the UFC because the UFC allows them. Plain and simple.

He blatantly cheated and this wasn’t the first time in the fight that he went for Tom’s eyes.
If the UFC was actually a fair and credible organisation Gane would be suspended for this shit.
If a fighter deliberately kicked someone in the balls as hard as they could and took out the champion would they still be giving that cheat a rematch I wonder?
