The point deduction is good, but useless if there is a finish. I would combine it with the purse deduction. (But I think purse alone would be enough to virtually stop it)

A point deduction alone risks simply lighting a fire under the fouler. Drew Dober is a recent example of that as he jumped all over the guy he fouled and finished him after losing a point.

He, and anyone like him who repeatedly pokes people in the eye and deals out elbows to the back of the head, should be allowed to compete on the condition that he wears appropriate gear.
