Is Ciryl Gane being paid off to take a DIVE against Alex?

It seems like it’s forgone conclusion amongst everyone that Alex will defeat Gane. If this fight is legit I see Gane putting this guy away in the first couple rounds. Or at the very least unanimous decision. We’ve seen Alex get flatlined by skinny Israel Adesonia. I have a feeling there are shenanigans going on behind the scenes to fix the fight in Alex favor. Do you agree?

Casuals maybe think it’s a forgone conclusion, but it’s a close fight, an Alex is better, I think an should get the win

Rage bait lol

Not really, I just believe Gane is bigger, stronger, faster and better chin. I don’t see how he loses. Unless he has a mental breakdown from the pressure like in the jones fight.

its just people trying the manipulate the market to get better odds on Gane…

He got caught against Tuivasa, who is a much sloppier striker than Alex. I’m not betting on this, but my money would probably be on Gane though if I was. This is a good fight.

Yeah, I’m not sure what AP has got for Gane. Unless he has some sort of spectacular wrestling/subs that we’ve never seen, I think AP will struggle.

I could see Gane sticking to the outside and relying on jabs/leg kicks to get an edge on points and win a decision. We gotta see how Alex carries the extra weight. He looks good, but he always had a plodding style anyway, so will he be slower? I think it’s likely.

@Johnny_Utah Have you actually seen anything sketchy up till now, or just going off vibes?

The UFC’s entire business model is making the company the star instead of individual fighters. Other fight organizations lived or died based on popular fighters continuing to win like Kimbo Slice. I don’t think the UFC would ever risk the company resorting to something like this.

Got caught one time against a heavy handed striker. Got back up immediately and beat the breaks off the guy. Alex has been flatline Ko’d in mma and kickboxing I think.

The bet should be how long till alex gets eye poked

Nah it’s just that everyone assumes Alex easily wins. More than usual. Just a hunch, I hope I’m wrong.

Gotcha. I think it’ll be more competitive than people think. I highly doubt it goes down like the 2nd Ank fight. I think Gane is crafty enough on the feet to last a while. Idk if he wins, but I’d be surprised if he gets starched immediately. I don’t think the fight will be fixed or anything though.

Ganes hung with Ngannou on the feet so I think he’ll do fine.

If Gane loses it will definitely be a dive!

You can shit on Dana and the UFC brass for many things. Fixing fights is NOT one of them! Grow up dude.

Even if they obviously favor certain fighters and almost blacklist others, once the fight is on, it’s 100% legit. How else do you explain Belal and Ankalaev becoming champs?

Someone didn’t watch McGregor v Cerrone

Gane is good on the feet. He was winning against Aspinall IMO before the eye poke.

I wouldn’t be shocked if he won. He’s a big guy, light on his feet with accurate strikes.

Somebody can slip a sedative into Ganes water bottle right b4 the fight. Maybe a long shot but completely possible here. The stakes are very very high in this specific fight.
