Gane-Hokit makes sense, but it’s an odd matchup. Poatan-Hokit would be more interesting because of the rivalry. Kayla-Amanda seems like it’s happening about 3-4 years too late for people to really care. 2 flyweights I’m not familiar with on the main card? No Paddy, no Costa, no Charles, no Max, no Morales, no Khamzat, no Poatan? It just feels like it should have some much bigger names

Holy shit I have totally checked out of the UFC.
My GF and I would get every PPV ten years ago. Over the years, they just lost my interest.
i miss the days when we would be 2 months out from a card that was all stars and every fight had meaning. Remember when Machida fought Tiago Silva? They were both undefeated and fighting to be the clear challenger.
Maybe what happened is that the question was answered. The various styles have all fought each other, and we know what works and what doesn’t. The experiment is over, and every fighter knows everything now.
Makes about as much sense as having a frenchman fight a Brazilian at the white house event.

No the ufc has watered down their product. They aren’t signing the best guys anymore and they’re giving the guys they like favorable matchups.
