It’s been seven long years for fight fans in “The City of Brotherly Love.”
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today announced its return to Philadelphia on Sat., Aug. 15, 2026 at Xfinity Mobile Arena, for UFC 330 on the Paramount+ digital network. No word yet on potential headliners; however, an announcement is expected in the coming weeks.
Philly hasn’t seen a UFC fight card since Justin Gaethje flattened Edson Barboza atop UFC on ESPN 2.
Expect local talent (like this surging contender) to make the lineup.
“Pennsylvania is thrilled to host UFC 330 in Philadelphia, the first time a championship bout is coming back to the Commonwealth in fifteen years,” said Governor Josh Shapiro. “This is a huge year for Pennsylvania – all eyes are on the Commonwealth as we celebrate America 250 and host some of the biggest sporting events in the world in the place where it all started. The Commonwealth is all in and we look forward to welcoming UFC back to Pennsylvania.”
UFC CEO Dana White was on the Pat McAfee show to break the news.
The last numbered fight card to hit Philly was UFC 133 back in Aug. 2011.
“Philadelphia is hosting some of the biggest sporting events this year as part of the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary,” White added. “It’s been fifteen years since the UFC brought a numbered event to the city, so now is the perfect time to go back. Philadelphia has always been a great fight town, and I can’t wait to return.”

It looks like Philadelphia, Pennsylvania may be getting the title fight the city desperately needs.
According to MMA journalist Alvaro Colmenero, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) matchmakers are working towards a matchup between UFC welterweight champion, Islam Makhachev, and No. 2-ranked contender, Ian Machado Garry, for UFC 330 on Aug. 15 from inside Xfinity Center in the “City of Brotherly Love.”
