Trouble in paradise?
It has been nearly five months since YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul suffered the most brutal loss of his combat sports career, getting violently knocked out by former Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua at Judgement Day on Dec. 19, 2025, inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida (watch highlights).
The knockout didn’t just hand Paul a loss — it may have permanently altered his future in boxing.
During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show this week to promote MVP MMA 1, Paul revealed there is a legitimate possibility he may never fight again due to complications stemming from the jaw injuries he suffered against Joshua.
“Yeah, so I’m getting some new scans of my jaw in a couple of days to get an update on the healing process,” Paul said. “We’ll see what my doctor says to get a more accurate timeframe or can I even fight again — that’s definitely in the realm of possibility of things.
“It does feel a lot better as weeks and time goes by but I definitely need to get cleared first to be able to spar,” Paul continued. “You know I’m sort of staying in shape and enjoying some mitt work.”
Paul suffered a double jaw fracture during the sixth-round stoppage loss and required immediate surgery the following day. He later underwent a second corrective procedure in February and has already stated he likely won’t return until sometime in 2027 — if at all.
And according to Paul, his doctor isn’t exactly eager to see him back in the ring.
The bigger question is why would he even want to at this point unless it’s just for the adrenaline? He’s better off following his bro to WWE if he still wants to perform in front of crowds
He doesn’t have anywhere near the charisma Logan does. Not saying its impossible or even that it wont happen. But i think we would be a considerable step down, performance wise. Even after performance center, boot camp, etc

As much as people want to hate this guy I gotta say that I admire what he was able to do. He was a well known YouTuber for people who followed youtubers. He found a combat sport hobby and took it as far as he could. And he became a household name hate him or not.

There’s truth to that. But the flip side of that coin is what does it say about our society and culture today that a Youtuber can parlay his fame into a fight against a top 3 boxer because he was able to kayo smaller, old and non boxers?
Druskis fat ass could release a million videos of him playing football against retired tennis players and it wouldn’t somehow ever lead to him getting to face the Superbowl champs in the NFL.
Boxings corruption is just so much more in your face these days..
Boxing Anthony Joshua was not very smart. A lot of people said he was going to get hurt and now his boxing career might be over.
It wasn’t the original fight and I think he had to deliver a big name for Netflix, from what I remember
I have feeling the agreement with Joshua wasn’t lived up to. He probably wasn’t supposed to go full bore. Joshua is like F that shit.
If its a broken jaw, Paul is using that as an excuse. A broken jaw heals stronger than before. That’s why Muhammad Ali, when he got his jaw by Ken Norton, continued to fight with no problems. Not even protecting that side more so after breaking it. With a solid professional mouthpiece secured in the mouth its close to impossible to break your jaw.
Stupid idea. He is a tough kid, but that seemed more like a survival stunt than a competitive boxing match. It was pretty clear he knew he had no chance in hell of winning so I guess he did it purely for the bag.
IDK, he might make a pretty good Gilberg 2.0,
but I don’t see him reaching Crash Holly levels.
Maybe his next fight he can box against 3 dwarfs.
