I am bringing back Classic Fight Club with a legendary throwback—Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs. Robbie Lawler in 2006 for the Icon Middleweight Title! :martial_arts_uniform::fire:

This wasn’t just any fight—it marked a critical turning point for both fighters. I break down why Lawler’s move to 185 lbs changed everything and why Mayhem Miller’s performance here might be the peak of his career. From Pride rules to the wild Hawaiian fight scene, this one’s packed with MMA history you don’t want to miss!

I wasnt shocked, I expected Mayhem to win. Robbie hits hard and is strong, but he is a low IQ fighter

Care to elaborate?

He’s a dog that will gladly take one too give one.

Despite this tho, “Low IQ fighter”? He’s a massive success in the sport?

I like Robbie and rooted for him usually. He is tough and durable. His ground game wasnt that good for an elite fighter imo. I knew Mayhem was going to get him down and tap him.

I am happy that Robbie KOed Trigg though

Robbie knew the limits too his strengths and his grit.

Low IQ" would be unnecessarily taking things to the ground and getting subbed etc.

The guy knew he could always go thru the wall and it made him the last of a dying breed of legendary fighter.

Hardcores always followed Robbie. I always checked in with Robbie. Always knew he was one of the greatest. Confirmed by his UFC return and WW championship glory
