I’ve gotten paid travel both one way and two ways on certain jobs as a contractor. Probably depends where you live.
Commuting 90 minutes one way to work every day is not coming out of my pocket unless you raise my wage $20/hr.

A fighter making this small amount of money doesn’t need to worry about tax deductions. They don’t pay tax
UFC is a shitty, miserly company. The way they treat the fighters, combined with their relentless ad assaults on PPVs (!) is a turnoff, and a big negative on the sports future.

UFC emails 
Piracy must be taking a big bite out of the UFC‘s profits. Not enough people supporting the sport to pay the fighters. Sad to see.
