Actually if this was the case I’d want to watch him just for the chance he gets nuked. Much like Mayweather in his later career.
Problem is, Jon is a has been that hasn’t fought well or consistently. Lol he’s fought 2 times in the last 6 years, both against over the hill fighters. I don’t care and all the fighters should make more. But Overpaying fighters, as has been shown over and over, is not sustainable in the MMA world.
If Job wanted to make this money and be on the card he should have been worrying about fighting over the last decade instead of drugs, partying, drunk driving, pulling out of fights… should I go on?

No I’m a real fan and I really don’t care what they get paid or how many soccer moms watch. I wanted to see the most interesting fights between the best fighters available. Jon is the goat, period. Pereira is going for history. That’s the best and most interesting fight available. Gane is a completely irrelevant and boring fighter with a very limited skill set that was completely humiliated by the guy you don’t care to see.
I feel the exact same way about the Gaethje fight. Gaethje’s career is fun, but he’s lost badly to every top fighter he’s faced and he looked old against Pimblett who has terrible stand up.
I’m disappointed in the card because it sucks.
