At this point, fuck Jon. Tom will keep smashing people, and the fight either gets made this year. If not, Jones gets stripped.

If Tom loses and Jon wants to then fight whoever that is that beat him, it should be in the contract that he has to fight Tom within six months of that fight, or he is stripped.

Can we stop going to Gane? We know exactly what he is, and it’s far from champion caliber. How many times do we need that reinforced? The guy was taken down and controlled for an entire fight, by an injured Francis!! Francis, the well-regarded wrestling specialist. Then there was actual earnest discussion about whether Jon would be able to do the same. lol.

Let’s get real. That wasn’t some career defining win for Jon. It was impressive because he got the belt, but a belt that was gifted to a guy who couldn’t ever legitimately win it.

That said, HW is so thin that there aren’t really any other great matchups. I guess I wouldn’t be excited for Tom vs any of the other guys in line.
