Because you don’t like him. I don’t know if we still have post history from old forums on here but you should see me arguing for 5+ year period that Fedor is the goat not Jones.. but Jones passed him and it was before his 2 HW title wins but that definitely helps.

He beat the current HW champ who beats everyone else.

And not just by fluke, points or gameplan.

He made him look like an infant.

You can hate Jon as much as you want, but his spot is written in stone until someone can climb up there and do something about it.

It’s not about liking him. There’s plenty of fighters I have disliked for one reason or another over the years. They still get their due credit.

Jones hasn’t passed Fedor.

Simply being undefeated doesn’t make him the GOAT. There’s more to it.
Fedor fought past the time when he could no longer dominate at the highest level, by choice. And he took losses because of it.
I can almost guarantee Jones won’t do something similar, because he is motivated by different things.
Jones is legacy driven.

But Fedor fighting through his downslope doesn’t take away from his peak accomplishments.

Fedor’s prime run was more dominant than Jones.
He went nearly a decade hardly dropping a round – and he did it at HW.
To this day Fedor still has more finishes than Jones has fights.

Fedor is still the GOAT, by a good margin, and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

That has no bearing on what he did at LHW or that he actually did prove it in the weight above.

JJ defeated the champs in a weight class above him at 37.

It won’t take long.

And it’s certainly fair.
We don’t rank HW boxers of weaker eras as highly as we rank guys like Ali or Lewis.

What he did at LHW makes him the best LHW.

What he’s done at HW doesn’t even put him in the conversation among the best HWs ever.
He has exactly 1 relevant win vs a current HW in the weakest HW era in a long time.

And IMO he loses points for not stepping up earlier.
He waited until a bunch of older HW killers either fell off or retired.
And we all know the reason why…

Regarding Hendo: Because he fought at MW comfortably for years.

Regarding “people fight too long and lose”: Jon fought longer and older than anyone else without losing.

GSP is the only one with a claim. I have no problem with people thinking that, even though it is incorrect.
