Nobody was able to put down the original IceMan like Blinky did.

Did he ask Benny about sparring sessions with Dave Mustaine?

I have both Benny’s and Jean’s books. I went to Benny’s gym in hopes of meeting him but he was apparently shooting a film at that time.

Shame that Jean could never adjust to leg kicks. He was a beast in full contact.

Definitely gonna have to listen to this when I get a chance! Wish these old school kickboxing guys got more love.

Yeah seriously. Benny and Don Wilson were the only real fighters who could fight on an international level with the Thais.

We need a MMAHISTORY pod from jail episode again.

This time Dennis THE TERMINATOR Alexio

Insane how a master, above the rules KB champ is still sitting in jail…BloodSport!!

Crazy.

I don’t see a lot of kudos being given to Don Wilson but maybe that’s just because I’m a hardcore fan of the old-timers. He really should be on a more mainstream podcast.

Good episode but I wish they had talked about his “fights” with Jackie Chan and John Cusack

Had some great weekend seminars with Urqiudez, this was after the movie Roadhouse, the real one not the new gay version. He was always super friendly and very kind to attendees who were new to kickboxing. Very tough guy.

Don was incredible.

His front side kick could destroy the best boxers jab.

That was a thing of beauty.

Very conservative fighter, he fought like a more point style guy, but just had such a strange chamber of attack he would finish a lot fights, very talented fighter.

Loved his tapes, just been hoping I come across his book in my rummaging pawn/thrift shops.
