A lot of people doubting Justin but let’s look at it like this. Justin has only lost to tall fighters over 5’9. Any time Justin has fought little men like Topuria, he wins. Topuria is a tiny 5’6 manlet like Joe Rogan. I will come back and bump this thread after Justin wins. It will look similar to his fight vs Rafael Fiziev.
If Justin had a fight IQ he could win. Pull a page out of GSP. He will just play rock and sockem robots and probably get brained
Justin has the tools to win this, leg kick this MFer like he’s never felt before then let him feel those hands. Easier said than done while a killer like Ilia is coming at you but it’s possible. Would be cool af for Justin to win it at the White House.

I know it’s the common story, but he had fight IQ against Fiziev (1&2) and Poirier (2). Sure, only striking fight IQ ha ha, but the story at the time would be that he is tough but would get out-techniqued. It didn’t happen.

Hey, I think the odds favor Ilia. By a lot too. But let’s not make it as if Justin has no chance or if it’s a lamb to the slaughter thing. Gaethje has faced a murderer’s row in his career, and won for the most part.

Topuria has had his personal issues outside of the cage so that could be a factor, I still think he gets it done. He has dynamite in his fists

I’m definitely still on the fence on this one. As stated, I don’t wanna doubt Justin but Illia is streaking and has the skill set to be more technical and smoother with his strikes
It’s crazy that Ilia is a better grappler than Gaethje as well.
Everyone with Justin’s power has a chance, but Ilia is most likely going to sleep him.
i just think Justin Size and strength can overtake the little man’s punch swarm attack. If Justin can avoid eating a clean shot early on he can start to bully Toporia later in the fight with his size.
I’m still of the opinion that he really didn’t have the great fight against Fiziev and did what he should have against Paddy other than flat line him but Paddy’s youth and toughness prevented that
Justin is the only UFC fighter I really like anymore, love that kid, he’s going to win!

Ilia seems like the type of guy to lose once and it breaks his brain to the point he’s never the same again or he leaves MMA for boxing or some shit. He just strikes me as the type of dude to respond poorly to a loss because he thinks so highly of himself.
When I say Justin doesn’t have a fight IQ ai mean this in the most respectful way possible. I want to thank that man for sacrificing his brain for my entertainment.
