VERY SIMILAR Tactics Employed……and which does exhibit the DEADLY EFFECTIVENESS of Gracie JiuJitsu for REAL FIGHTING
may be VILLAINY under a GENTLEMANLY CIVILIZED Setting but Royce CLEARLY trains for the STREETS
and in both matches Royce VILLAINOUSLY SCOFFS at his opponents show of having been offended by his FOUL BALL attack

I just find it funny no one ever got hurt from a nut shot until it became illegal. Royce kneed Kimo in the nuts several times and it had no effect. Joe Son got falcon punched into oblivion by Keith Hackney and he didn’t seem bothered by it at all. In fact I personally talked to Joe Son on the plane and he said it didn’t hurt.
Probably wasn’t much there to hurt.
He wore a steel cup but I don’t know if that’s common or makes any difference.
Royce went into that fight with FULL INTENT of aiming for the wiener.

I read that Royce was already done in the back room after the Kimo fight and knew he wouldn’t be able to continue. But Rorian need a “winner” for the tournament to go on for the night so they had him come out and throw in the towel. A lot of people forget the early UFC’s were a tournament format.
It wasn’t until the next UFC that Rorion had a good supply of alternates ready.
Proper knees to the groin is no joke, no matter how tough or big you are. It’s pretty easy to drop someone with a good knee to the groin.
I think when he said it didn’t hurt he was referring to butt rape and was trying to convince you to be butt raped.

Ken beats Royce 97 out of 100 times if they fight, those 3 times they fought were MIRACUOUSLY the only 3 possible times Ken wouldn’t have won…
Exactly my point. We all know those 3 fights were the closest things Royce could ever get to a true victory versus Ken. They fight 97 more times Ken wins all of those. With relative ease.
That is right, at ufc 3 the alternates like Steve Jennum and Felix Lee Mitchell didn’t have to fight anyone .. they were simply picked whenever a fighter got injured .. I wonder was there a 3rd alternate at ufc 3 ..?
Jennum will always get my respect as he was cross trained at a very early point in ufc - he just didn’t have much desire to stick around the fight game
Mitchell was tough too - he was a Kenpo guy and managed to give Ken fits in their match
