The current UFC lightweight title holder (up to 70 kg), Russian Islam Makhachev, spoke about the difficulties of training under the guidance of former teammate and Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“A couple of weeks ago, I was sparring with some guys. One of them pressed me against the cage, and I stayed there. Khabib screamed at me what I needed to do, but I didn’t listen.
After training, he came up to me and said: “Hey, I have a family, I have a job. I can leave here. If you don’t listen, I can leave. If you want me to be here, you have to listen to my advice,” Makhachev said at a press conference.
