Khamzat Chimaev in Pride FC hypothetical?!

I was going to ask you fellow posters how you’d expect him to had got on fighting in Pride (peak years).

Until I remembered how much different their weight classes were!

Based on that, IMO He would absolutely tool everybody if he was fighting back at nearer Welter Weight.

Pride Fighting Championships featured four main weight classes: Lightweight (up to 161 lbs/73 kg), Welterweight (up to 183 lbs/83 kg), Middleweight (up to 205 lbs/93 kg), and Heavyweight (unlimited/open), with Open Weight bouts also held. These divisions allowed for fair competition, ranging from lighter fighters to the heaviest, with the Heavyweight class having no upper limit.

I took teh different rules in consideration too! But he would obviously know about that and train accordingly!

In the right weight class for Khamzat, I believe he would had beaten everyone there at the time.

Why would fans hate him? His fights are crazy and entertaining.

That speaks volumes about Khamzat’s potential that you would go two Pride weight classes above to find someone that might beat him!

That would be fun to watch. Only he would only have to avoid that H bomb, and then out wrestle dan.

current Khamzat probably beats anyone who’s ever competed in Pride Fc. None could stop the wrestling. Not Colmon not Randle man not Tom Erkson. Not even Fujita. Nobody

Chimaev would be a pure grappling approach.

You’re looking at yellow card potential. Getting tired (both have a history). Etc.

Probably a pretty shit fight tbh.
