The Main Event

Evloev (19-0) returns after defeating Aljamain Sterling at UFC 310 in December 2024, while Murphy (17-0-1) is coming off a knockout victory over Aaron Pico at UFC 319. Both fighters are ranked in the top five of the Featherweight division, and the winner sets themselves up for a title shot against Alexander Volkanovski, who just successfully defended his belt against Diego Lopes at UFC 325 this past weekend.

Murphy will be fighting on home soil, looking to continue his momentum after that devastating spinning elbow knockout. Evloev, meanwhile, has never lost in MMA, but has drawn criticism for his decision-heavy fighting style. All nine of his octagon wins have gone the distance.

Peterson looks scrappy and aggressive but he’s never fought anyone like MVP.. he will lose

Problem with Evloev getting the belt would be the one defense every 3-4 yrs

Does he back out of that many fights? If so then I get why Dana doesn’t want to give him a title shot

Can’t wait for this fight.

Also cant believe they are doing MVP vs Sam Patterson?

Sam patterson is exciting and seems to be putting away great guys but MVP is just in a whole other league of skill. I feel like this will be a shut out potentially.

Patterson is putting away great guys? I’ve seen him starch a few guys but I didn’t know who they were

I admit the match making is odd - they don’t seem to know what to do with MVP.. him
Vs Buckley or Prates makes sense and would be fun .. MVP isn’t always a fun fighter to watch though and I often find myself frustrated during his fights as he rarely goes for the kill
