Low kicks in the street. High risk low reward orrr?

Hmmm

Wow. I don’t think he expected this while trying to chop teh legs…

It depends. That guy had quick hands and a long reach. The guy kicking didn’t look particularly skilled and didn’t set up or disguise his kicks. In general, kicking is definitely a risk because it takes a base of support off the ground and compromises base and balance, but obviously it’s a very legitimate technique if you can use it correctly.

Way to telegraphed.

Worked him like Ghetto Silva on Ghetto Irvin.

Vicious stuff.

Skills might be a bit of a stretch lol. But yeah, leg kicks could work great in the street, provided you maintain some sense of space and general fight ability.

I’ve seen a trained guy blast a leg kick at a drunk instigator before as a way to de-escalate. He didn’t want to end up hurting the guy or bouncing his head off the pavement, so it belted him in the thigh. Was hilarious how quickly drunkie changed his aggressive tune and hopped around in pain instead. Worked very well to ‘gently’ end the confrontation

Watching too many ufc

In a street fight, front kick his lead shins with the tip of your shoes. It’s way more effective.

Jab right after.

Repeat.

You can see that a low kick works great.

But not as a weapon itself but as a means of confusing your opponent and setting up a puch or takedown.

If you make him think about his legs, he starts getting too much going on in his mind.

And it becomes easier to do whatever it is you really want to do in the fight.

So count me in as a fan.

The video is a good example of people not liking getting kicked and getting an easy takedown because of it.
