Who takes it?
- The Dragon
- Sean Strickland
Prime vs prime?
Lyoto
I like Strickland and admire his will to win but he wouldn’t touch prime Machida.
Its either a dominant boring point scoring dec win for Machida or he catches him coming in with something.
Would be an incredibly boring fight but I’ll go with machida by decision
Two fighters backing up throwing jabs. Unless they put it in the small WEC cage, it’s going to go 25 minutes.
Beating of a lifetime.
Unfortunately the ending didn’t go well!
But it was also the beginning of the end for Rockhold’s career as an elite fighter. His success against Machida made him think he was an elite boxer and he kept fighting to get the KO.
“You fucking, you fucking piss-drinking motherfucker!”
Strickland would walk him down and win the fight.
I see him getting frustrated and making teh mistake Bader made sooner or later. Providing this is against un-figured out prime Machida!
Strickland doesn’t get frustrated. He’s content to be the most boring fighter on the planet and would have a good chance of getting out-pointed by prime Machida, imo.
I could see Machida hitting him from weird angles like he did vs Thiago Silva or catching him with the knee he casually throws in as he’s closing the distance.
How do you guys think Machida would do against Izzy and Khamzat?
Would be boring with both fighters waiting on the other to throw a heavy shot so the other could counter.
Teep kick.. no can defend
This is hard because Machida waited for guys to make a mistake or give an opening and pounce. Strickland fights the safest more boring point fight possible on the feet.
He’s like a Diaz brother without the entertainment value.
He may be the most boring striker I can think of. Atleast that is a top level guy.
Without his ability to sell fights outside of the cage I think Strickland would have been either cut long or atleast stuck on the prelims where his fighting style belongs.
And I say this as someone who likes his personality and love his anti woke mindset.
Fixed
Dragon via dec or KO
Easily
No way, sir.
No way.
