Dana referred to him in the past at the UFC 308 presser. That actually stood out and must have stung if he watched it. Someone asked about going to new different countries, and his reply included a reference to Conor something to the effect “look what Conor did for Ireland”. The way he said it sounded like he was talking about some past star from yesteryear.

edit: here’s the quote. You “had”…

“When you have a guy who can potentially be a star or is already a rising star and and you bring him into these into these markets — like, we have two Georgian world champions, right? You had Conor McGregor, who ignited all of Europe and other parts of the world. You got Topuria now. You talk about Du Plessis in Africa, Izzy and Rob over in Australia and New Zealand. It’s star driven.”

If Connor just stfu and disappeared for a year, people would be interested in the mystery of his potential return. Especially in a fun, feature type matchup. Similar to Rhonda. But since he keeps trying to copy Floyd by staying in the public consciousness, people are sick of him. The difference is Floyd does interesting things and Connor just does exactly what you’d expect and it’s predictable and disappointing.

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor is talking about retirement, again.

In a recent exchange with a fan on X (formerly known as Twitter), McGregor responded to a message stating that he has no reason to return to MMA, that he’s done it all, go and enjoy your life.

“Ya know what, you’re right,” replied McGregor in a since-deleted tweet. “Good bye.”

McGregor has talked about retirement plenty throughout his MMA career. Is this the one to take seriously? Here’s a look at other times he has talked about walking away from the sport but eventually found himself back in the Octagon.
