MMA fight at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on Xmas night

Pretty lit Xmas night at the Phoenix Airport: Family feud in the food court leads to a gun/knife fight with multiple crime scenes, then a rando guy wearing only what appears to be MMA shorts shows up because he got a text there was an active shooter and wanted to intervene, he’s armed (gun?), gets bitch-slapped to ground by civilian (?), shirtless guy looks like he tries to pull an X-guard, police officer looks like he unsuccessfully tries a falling armbar, shirtless guy gets arrested, everyone in custody.

That cop tried to fall back for the armbar and failed epically. Whoever is training him needs to let him know to never give up top position. That was just awful every way around

I have ALWAYS wanted to pull an armbar on a criminal on Christmas night, in honor of Martin Rigg’s epic battle with Joshua. I came close, once, in 2010, but couldn’t pull it off.

OK, I reviewed and technically we’re both correct. Riggs first tries a falling armbar from Joshua’s headlock (about 3:20 in the clip), but Mr. Joshua escapes and transitions to top in guard, where Riggs finally catches him in the triangle choke.

We should all watch this every Christmas:
