Gsp was the man.
Then he lost to matt sera and was the lamest fighter ever after.
He only lost fans after that fight.

Paulo Filho. Dude was like a blanket.
He just smothered dudes.
Strikland, Chael, Colby, Merab, Belal.
To me fighting should be about finishing fights. Decisions are like an unfortunate stepchild added in.
In my mind a decision win should only count about 1/3 the impact of a finish as far as rankings, title shots etc, GOAT runs etc.
I understand that sometimes two guys give it their all and it’s so evenly matched it goes to a decision. But I fucking hate guys where it’s clear that the strategy IS A DECISION.
Merab vs Omalley is a great example. (im not the biggest omally fan or anything) but merat jumps around 8 feet outside the pocket like a dickhead for 4/5s of the round, then shoots a takedown at the end of the round, gets the takedown, doesnt advance or land any damage.
Wins 4 or 5 rounds of the fight goes home with the belt, but I barely consider him a champ.
UFC needs to change the wrestling centric rule set IMO
Somehow it has become the case where basically a takedown based wrestling game is highly favored by the rules.
A wrestler shooting a takedown is protected from knees and kicks while grounded, he was previously be protected by the 12-6 elbow rule, he is protected by the shots to the back of the head rule etc.
There is almost no penalty for a failed takedown. And now we are in a place where somehow FAILING a takedown for the entire round, still wins you a round.
Guys shoot in like this but get stuffed.
So lets say you spam double legs for an entire round.
If you complete them, well you have greatly improved your position so that should help you win.
If you fail the takedown but hang on their legs and waist for a round, somehow thats wining also.
If you fail and work your way up to a clench and push them against the cage a little, somehow thats winning.
And if you totally fail, the other fighter cant punish you by kicking or kneeing you in the head until you stand back up.
The quicker gyms and trainers realize this, the better chance their fighters can have a career. Look at what that one highlight did for Rivera. I’m not saying have everyone go in all guns blazing but if you have a guy that’s game, let him be a highlight reel machine. Even if he loses he’ll get paid.
It was after he won the belt back more than the loss to Serra.
He destroyed Matt Hughes and Serra after the loss, finished them both, Serra one was nasty, I remember the knees to the body.
But once he unified the belt, he had a massive run of decisions.
Jon Fitch was one of them and he’s got my vote for one of the most boring fighters I’ve seen.
Remember the name…
When I first got into MMA his TUF with Shamrock was aired every night in the UK. I adored then and still adore his training work ethic.
What do you reckon?
Great post
Lol I watched the first few seconds. My other half is still missing a lot of a knuckle due to a mandolin incident 3 weeks ago so what he was doing with his fingers there is giving me murders haha
Ryan Hall
Kristoff Jotko
David Branch
Ian Garry
Every boring wrestler that try’s to lay their way to a decision, ESPECIALLY Belal
All WMMA
Pat Miletich
This faggot right here.

Best way to give him trouble is to hit him right in the faggotry.

Tim Sylvia
Izzy for how boring his fights are and how so many lack any action. Woodley was the same way during his championship run.
Lmao I love watching Jotko’s boring ass get slept
Cody Brundage for how boring his style is and that one fight where he did an acting job to get a DQ win. What a fucking faggot bitch!
Not sure who that is lol but I’ve seen several fighters pull a Brundage before. I have no desire to watch that faggot fight again.
Any elite strikers who refuse to train takedowns or the ground game. Looking at you Michael Venom Page…
Also Kron Gracie and his attempts to revive 1994 era Gracie tactics.
