This was yet another great interview by Mike & Joey @MMAHistoryPodcast. Iām really enjoying this run of Pit Fight Team episodes. The story of the Pit vs. the Navy Seals is epic. Ranks up there with Lee Murray/Tito Ortiz. Glad to see Gan get showcased here. People forget the tear he was on before fighting for the UFC title.
Great nugget about the whereabouts of Heath Herring in this episode too. I had completely forgotten about him competing in Rizin a few years back. I just remember him completely vanishing the scene after the Brock Lesnar fight in '08.
