Anthony “Mad Dog” Macias finally sits down with the MMA History Podcast after years of pursuit. At UFC 4 he was billed at 190 pounds, weighed closer to 160, and drew Dan Severn in the tournament. He went on to win multiple eight-man tournaments in Oklahoma and the IFC, then met Kazushi Sakuraba at Pride 7. I remember he won some Vale Tudo tournament back in the 90s. Tough guy, just didn’t have success in the UFC.

Manson was an INSANE talent.
Just an incredibly skilled fighter.
He was recently on some weird youtube channel with some random younger black chick.
It was a strange interview but, the guy is still very limber and seems well enough?

Macias won some Vale Tudo tournament back in the day. 8 man tournament I think. International Vale Tudo Championship or something.

He was a really good fighter. Just too small against Severn and made a dumb decision against Oleg. Saw on his record that he did have a UFC win that I can’t remember.
