MVP-PFL CEO John Martin just walked off the Job

John Martin has resigned as CEO less than two months after the merger between PFL and MVP.

Martin replaced Peter Murray back in summer 2005, who transitioned to an international role before leaving the company altogether. That leaves MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian as the new head cheese as both companies prepare for an early 2027 alignment.

“After an incredible year and the successful combination of PFL and MVP, I’ve made the decision to step down as CEO of the combined company,” the former chairman and CEO of Turner and Time Warner wrote on social media. “I’m enormously proud of what this team has accomplished and couldn’t have more confidence in what comes next.”

Martin’s departure is just one of several executive shakeups over the past year, which also claimed PFL Chairman Donn Davis.

“Nakisa and I worked closely together to bring these companies together, and I believe he is the natural person to lead this next chapter,” Martin continued. “I’m grateful to the entire team and Board for their partnership, and I’ll be cheering for MVP as both a former executive and a fan.”

PFL returns to action with PFL MENA 11 on Oct. 2 at Boulevard City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
