Nassourdine Imavov vs. Caio Borralho Set as Main For Return to Paris - 9/6

The UFC octagon will once again land in Paris for a Fight Night show in September, the promotion announced Tuesday. The event, which has no bouts announced at the moment, will take place at the Accor Arena on Sept. 6.

This will be the fourth time UFC visits Paris since 2022. All three previous cards drew over 15,000 fans for a total combined gate of over $11 million at the same venue.

The UFC’s latest event in France was held in Sept. 2024, when Renato Moicano spoiled the French party by dominating and finishing Benoit Saint Denis.

The other two events, in September of 2023 and 2022, had local heavyweight Ciryl Gane victorious in the main event by knocking out Serghei Spivac and Tai Tuivasa.

The UFC roster currently includes a number of fighters that call France home, including Nassourdine Imavov, Manon Fiorot, Fares Ziam, Oumar Sy, and the aforementioned Gane and Saint Denis. .

“Don’t you dare book Gane vs. Aspinall as the main event,” one fan wrote on social media, while another suggested UFC Paris was “gonna be Gane vs. Aspinall.”

There’s very little chance the promotion would book a major UFC title bout for a “Fight Night” card on ESPN+, though it stands to reason Gane, who is from Paris, remains a potential candidate to headline the Sept. 6 card at Accor Arena.

Just not against Aspinall.

This is a great fight. I hate Imavov but he is a very good fighter and is exciting. I hope Brohalio starches him

Mauricio Ruffy is looking for a fight.

The Brazilian knockout artist is perfect inside the Octagon (3-0), winning fights in highly impressive fashion. He’s been extremely dominant, picking apart each of his opponents and scoring two knockout wins in the process. Most recently, he smoked King Green with an incredible wheel kick just two minutes into the fight (watch here). In a very short amount of time, Ruffy has grown from just another Contenders Series pickup to one of Lightweight’s most exciting up-and-comers.

Being part of the super talented “Fighting Nerds” team has only helped his momentum. Fans are excited about his next match up, and though nothing is official yet, he’s been linked to possible opponents like Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler.
