WTF did they shoot it?

From what I understand the bowl itself is pretty fragile as it’s been repaired MANY times over the years.

While Marchment is a no show in the playoffs. He is a solid regular season player, big dude and lays the body. I am surprised this is all they could get for him.

Toews is headed home. I hope things will work out for him.

Bourque must really like Dallas. I feel like he could have signed an offer sheet for at least double. A lot of teams could use a 23-year-old C.

Yeah it sucked seeing Toews go out the way he did.

Hopefully he can make some kind of comeback

If I’m Sam Bennet I take 7ish mil a year and continue to compete for championships with FL.

He can certainly get more on the open market but nothing beats winning. I think he’ll take 8 a season but that is a pretty good deal for what he brings in the playoffs alone. Florida will be good for years to come. Barkov/Bennett/Lundell down the middle is stacked.

7-8.5m is fair for him regardless.

The question is will he look the other way if some team offers him 10+.

I mean, if I had already guaranteed to make life-changing money, would I rather live in FL, where the weather is amazing, there is no state tax, and my team is competitive every year?

Not many guys take winning and happiness over money. But hockey immortality comes with rings, not $.

The chance to 3-peat is gonna be a big factor for him for sure. Hometeam discount is definitely in play here.

But FLA only got $19m to work with this offseason, and they have others they need to sign as well.

You ain’t gonna get all these guys back with only $19m:
Sam Bennett
Aaron Ekblad
Brad Marchand
Nate Schmidt

Granted another advantage is FLA can offer 1 more year than other teams for longterm deals.

This is why his players will run through a wall for him and he is the coach most players would like to play for.

Basically told his 4th line you guys go out and take a victory lap you earned it and we would not be here without you.

Just Barkov going around his neighborhood at 5am with the Stanley Cup and waking up the neighbors to celebrate with.

Trevor Zegras is a Philadelphia Flyer.

Ryan Poehling, the 45th overall pick, and 4th round pick next year are reportedly headed back to Anaheim.

All the hype and flash but no actual substance to his game.

They got him for virtually nothing. He has two 60 point seasons and is only 24. Low risk, high reward.

They had a shitload of picks, so didn’t give up much, and get him on a one-year tryout contract. He lights it up, you sign a bridge deal during the season. He struggles, let him test FA.

Course between him and Michkov they’ll probably average 1.5 Michigan goal attempts per game.
