Yeah in tnt sports. It was the post show then this came on.
I think the fighters mostly universally hated the new ones iirc.
Sorry white belts, hope you all do your neck bridges because crabby will be crankin some necks playing with this.
For sure. I wonder how much that company got.
I helped design the best mma gloves ever for fairtex with Alex. They were dope af. Interesting fact. I watched an all access with Jon jones and he said this is really special to me and pulled down a set of gloves and they were the ones I designed.
Affliction used them for their mma events. All the fighters loved them.
Me and Alex ( rip brother ) took the oahno gloves and the pride gloves and took all the best parts of both to make the ones we did for fairtex. I still have the first pair.
Edit. This is them. They are in my office on my bookshelf.
That’s wild. I have seen the old oahno ones.
Actually we have a guy in the gym now who still has pair of oahno king of the cage gloves from back in the day.
that’s fucking awesome
Haha. Ask him if they are foam or gel. The gel gloves were legendary.
In the early days everyone was trying all kinds of different things. John was always tweeking the gloves and improving them. So he was messing with the padding and tried some gel in them instead of foam padding.
Well the gel was heavier for one thing so the gloves hit harder. Additionally the gel felt great on a bag. But with wraps when you hit a human skull in would go sideways away from the knuckles and you would hit like a Mac truck.
Guys loved them. They used them as long as possible. Back in the day you could use your own used gear for fights also.
A lot of guys would park their car on top of the foam gloves for a few nights as well back in the day.
I give you shit about your flopping and playing with dudes feet but do you have a strong top game ? Not including taking the back I’m sure your great at that but Iim talking kimuras, arm triangles ,neck cranks etc
Corey definitely has light-years better grappling/BJJ than Sean. I don’t see Merab just doing whatever he wants to on the ground. He’ll have to be much more strategic and have a game-plan of his own.
Arm triangles are by far my best sub. Everything else is a funnel to make them defend and get there. I’m a get on top guy.
And I actually dislike the back relative to mount.
I can’t remember you specifically I’m guessing we argued about guard pulling at some point lol
My back and knees are destroyed so butterfly sweeps and leg entanglements are the primary way I get on top. But I’m a body lock/pressure pass to half and then to mount guy.
I can still do takedowns in MMA rounds but the hunched over posture just isn’t an option for me.
Sean’s BJJ should be better than it is.
He’s got the damn 66kg goat as his coach and sparring partner.
