Merab always has fun in there, and it’s entertaining. It’s part of his style. His cardio is insane, yet Yan clearly mentioned it was the plan to tire him out a bit. Of course Merab wasn’t gassed by any measure, but he was indeed not as explosive after rounds 1-2.

Honestly, in round 1 Evoloev hit him with a jab and another glancing shot that looked like they shook Volk. His chin is definitely going. He got dropped in both the Lopes fights.

Yair is a real class in what not to do. He’s got an exciting style, they fed him a few names early, and would LOVE a Mexican champ.
If he was a game fighter, he’d have been getting title shots every chance the UFC could make it reasonable. Instead, he wanted to be picky and sit this one out.

Not me, homie. Peter Yan wasnt having it. I love Merab but I do wonder what he would be if he had that no nonsense, killer instinct, extra gear in him and actually put guys away. I like having fun as much as anyone. Youve seen the just stupidest shit that Ive said and posted over time. Believe me, I fuck around. But when somebody has taken whats mine and left my family with less than we had, I quit fucking around about it. Especially once I see that they are having none of it. You gotta lock in sometimes. Not a lot. But some times.
Merab is dope, tho. No matter what. Im not bad mouthing him. I just wish he wasnt mr funny guy all the time. Thats MY fukn job.

Sums it up beautifully. I honestly cant believe he has been undefeated for this long. Movsar got completely outclassed by an old man on his way to retirement sooner than later in the biggest fight of Movsar’s life. I dont think Movsar has championship constitution. He was defeated mentally and physically. He might as well just fight for a check and make his money until he retires. Ill never be mad to be proven wrong about a guy but I just dont see it in him. Like, Ilia STARCHED Volk out cold. Max put up a fight a couple times at least. Islam starched Volk out cold. Evloev got the oldest and most battle worn Alex to date and was out manned by a lot.

Sean isnt hungry enough to progress his skillset in the way needed to deal with this version of Yan. Sean gave up on himself worse than Leon Edwards did against Merab at Noche. You can see it in between the first and second round when Seans coach calls him “champ” and the way it hit sean in his soul and his eyes closed, he had already accepted defeat. Its hard to work your ass off to go get beat up for a living when you have everything you could ever want.
I personally dont think he even wanted to fight anymore until they offered him the white house and he couldnt turn it down. Granted, I think the KO may have re-ignited something in him but fighting zahabi is way different than going to war with Yan. I do not think O’Malley is going to be around for much longer. Hes probably gonna lose to Petr and maybe one more and be done. He doesnt need the money and the pay sucks anyway.
Yan should have retired after this fight .. he has nothing left to prove
