One thing you can’t call Conor is a duck

That crazy mother fucker has delusional confidence. Boxing mayweather, asking to go up and fight at 170 for the belt, fighting a terrible match up in khabib. Say what you will about his life decision after becoming fuck you rich. Aside from wanting to fight Cerrone for an easy pay day. He doesn’t duck nobody.

Yep, op is correct. Connor is a polarizing figure and he plays the heel better than anyone. Its easy to forget how good he was for a brief window in time.

Maybe not a duck. But i definitely lost some respect during the khabib fight when he was trying to tell him “its just business”. Its the hurt business, then he wanted to beg for mercy while getting his as kicked by someone that he pushed to far. BUT, still a great fighter and i will tune in when hes fighting.

Connor was both great and terrible for the UFC. The hype around his big fights were fun and early on he delivered. It got out of control, he lost focus, and it became more sideshow than substance. His run was a cool little period. The card with him vs Mendes was a great event.

You’re not the boss of me!

True its not like hes ducking Chandler. He just cant stay off drugs and roids long enough to get drug tested or do a training camp. He refuses to duck drugs and partying! I think he does want to train and fight. The problem is Conor is an addict, and he has all the money and bad influences to feed it.

He ducked defending the championships he won. Refused to give Aldo a rematch but demanded one from Nate Diaz when he lost.

They should hold anything a fighter earns over 80k a year in an escrow account or something until they retire. Conor would still be champ.

It probably wasn’t feasible, but there would have been a lot of interesting matchups for him at 145.

Don’t need to duck when greedy Dana White wants to protect you.
He sure managed to avoid a lot of wrestlers in his career. Got a short notice one with Mendez, a finished sort of one with Alvarez, then Kabib…

Looked great fighting guys half his size but once he couldn’t do that ridiculous cut any more and had to fight people his own size it all fell to pieces.

The king of fighting guys getting short notice :joy:

As far as I’m concerned he’s ducking Chandler.

What’s malfunctioning with your internal compass that gives you the need to defend heathens like Conor and Jones?

Conor was not Champ material when he debuted in the big leagues

I don’t look to cage fighting to find examples of men with saint like qualities. Your avatar is an archetypical psychopath. Why do you choose that to represent yourself?

Conor doesn’t get enough credit for his achievements. He was locked in up until after the Alvarez fight. He did everything he said he was going to do. His championship wins versus Aldo and Alvarez were spectacular.

A couple of years ago, I ran into Gaethje at the gas station. I asked him when he was going to fight Conor. He said, “that pussy won’t fight anyone.” So, Justin called him a duck, and at the time, it would have been a great fight to make.

At that time we had no reason to believe he wasnt going to go 10 title defenses deep

I think he has had tons of credit. He has just destroyed it with debauchery and drugs. Maybe a few SAs. He makes a mockery of his family and his wife.
