OnlyGround Arm Wrestling Thread

How can you not love Brzenk?

60 yrs old beating a monster 35 yrs younger and 35 lbs heavier. Apologies if this was posted earlier but I just watched the match and the way he won was inspiring. I thought he was cooked in the first round.

Those two are hilarious together. The way Shaw constantly ribs Hall is amazing.

Shaw in an actual match , kinda

Watching more of the releasing video, I’m calling an Eddie win. Shaw still doesn’t move like an arm wrestler. Always straight wristed, somewhere between pulling and pressing, doesnt look very good. Eddie on the other hand has learned to hook and top roll and it looks better than his press even.

I think Eddie has a shot but I still got Brian as the favorite. I do agree that Eddie moves better when he gets his position and I think that Eddie has done more armwrestling than he lets on. If I remember correctly, he was scheduled to pull RVJ and did some training with Neil even back then.

I think to me its about how bad Brian looks. You can tell hes stronger than everyone he’s training with to the point that he can get away with bad technique. He never pronates and never cups. If he has aspirations beyond Eddie he better get to work!

I agree, Eddie looks smoother and more experienced and Brian still looks like a beginner when it comes to initiating with his hand and his angles. With that said I think Brian is simply a lot stronger, better conditioned and has a clearer path to victory.

What could get Brian in trouble is that he seems to be passive and relying on catching people after the ā€˜go’. Eddie is likely faster and more explosive so if Brian lets Eddie hit and get in a good position turning Brian palm up, I don’t think Brian is strong and experienced enough to roll out of it. If however Brian hits hard outside, I don’t think Eddie can deal with that other than if he’s comfortable giving up his hand and going for a press and I just don’t see Eddie doing that with the risk of injury.

@Vintirex i think Shaw is sandbagging huge on the videos…

I have Shaw for hand size, leverage and weight. I just think neither one has put in enough work to develop the strength of technique required for conditioning.
@onepunchJD where you at homie?

Sorry Pardner, that’s too risky for me. I think Ol’ Shawsky takes him as well.

Middle. Those guys are teammates in the same weight,all bringing home hardware from state championship. The guy on the left won masters right and left as well…because we didnt enter. I dont feel old enough to cheap them out even though i can technically enter lol.

I just like what ive seen from Eddie in movement and speed compared to brian. I know shaw sandbags but people also forget eddie won a WSM over shaw too. Brian is stronger, but its not worlds apart. I think close enough that whoever is rhe better arm wrestler will matter more than whos stronger…but who knows for real with this

I’d like to see Shaw and Eddie stand next to Levan on Saturday for comparison.
