Shows what kind of an manlett Paddy is. Professional fighter earning great money in the world’s top org; his own reality TV show and countless big money advertising deals…

Yet so insecure, he feels the need to go and scrap with some nobody that said some shit to him online. Most real men would just brush that shit aside - happy in the knowledge that they could kill the other guy if needed. You wouldn’t see Vitor Belfort travelling to some backwater gym to defeat an online troll.

Things changed for Manlett after that Ariel situation. He was publicly shown as the greasy snake he is, and this latest ‘fight’ just confirms what a dickhead he is.

In my opinion that’s not a straightener - it’s just hard(ish) sparring with someone being a dick about not respecting a tap at the end, irrespective of what they might have agreed beforehand.

If I were going to have a straightener with someone and they suggested I wear shinpads, I think I’d laugh and walk away. I can’t say I’ve heard of one happening with gloves on either, but I’m sure they probably have.

This is not me being Billy Big-Bollocks, by the way - both of them are far superior to me. But both straighteners and combat sports are (or at least should be) about respect. I find it better just to be respectful in the first place, and avoid the need for the straightener at all.

Hardly. It’s just that a straightener is intended to resolve a dispute - two people fight, someone wins, and you both hug and go for a beer. It really doesn’t matter how well you can fight, so long as you get it out of your system. Maybe it’s not the same everywhere.

Apart from anything else, not respecting a tap is a terrible example to show the students watching.

He’s a prize fighter, not the Dalai Lama

That sub hold was pretty long. I never hold subs except for one guy in tournament that was grinding his forarm in my face. I wanted to choke him unconscious

Dude had agreed to no tap. He even said so himself AFTERwards. I can understand agreeing then tapping anyway as you are panicking, but it was agreed upon.

I wonder what the UFC thinks of fighters on the roster fighting for free like that ha ha

Be careful what you wish for.

So if he was in an inverted heel hook just snap the leg?

“don’t get greedy!”

I don’t think you realize how tight knit fight communities are, especially in British towns.
