Professional Fighters League (PFL) today announced the launch of PFL Africa, which gets underway this July with 32 fighters from 14 nations competing in four single-elimination events to become PFL 2025 Africa Champion.

Africa has been on the promotion’s radar for several years. In fact, former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, was named chairman and equity owner in PFL Africa when “The Predator” signed with PFL back in early 2023.

“Africa is home to some of the greatest fighters in the world, including our league Chairman Francis Ngannou, and some of the greatest fans in the sport,” said PFL CEO, Pete Murray. “PFL Africa aims to serve the great fans with premium content while strengthening the PFL global footprint in what has for too long been an underserved market. Alongside our great investment and broadcast partners we cannot wait to kick off PFL Africa league action in 2025.”

PFL officials are expected to reveal the complete PFL Africa fighter roster and event location details in a special press conference on May 6, likely to be streamed live on YouTube.
