From what I was told, the Saudi event was cancelled 2 days prior to the event and that they had a significant staff presence on site when the decision was made

That’s crazy. Cancelling the event the day before your fight is insane. People love to hate on the UFC but at least they don’t do shit like this

I’ll admit I always hated the name World Series of Fighting but it was better than PFL.
Also why but bellator to sit most of the fighters you purchased? What was the purpose other than buying out the #2 mma organization? Between the bellator and Francis deals I knew that company was falling fast. Francis losing in boxing hurt his value and no one cared to see him anymore.
Let’s see him headline an MVP card and see what numbers he pulls, if it’s not a match vs Cain or Dos Santos it won’t do astronomical numbers.
Worst part is Randy will be unemployed again, GFL maybe?
The media silence on cancelled events is virtually identical to it’s overall PFL coverage

JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia – PFL MENA has made the decision to postpone PFL MENA 10, which was scheduled to take place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium Sports Hall in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The event has been postponed until further notice. PFL MENA is currently evaluating potential future dates and will provide updates as soon as additional information becomes available.

The UFC has cancelled events, Lamas vs Penn was cancelled a week or 2 before the event.
They also completely cancelled UFC 151 and 176.
Obviously they have a great track record but it’s not stainless.
I did not count the 4 or 5 events cancelled or rescheduled due to covid.

Nobody cared about any of those randoms other than when jones declined the short notice fight. PFL literally has so few events that people like us who are on a forum didn’t even realize that they were still in business

Numbered events are not random, maybe not always great but definitely not random. It was a different time for sure but wasn’t the numbered events considered the premier events?
The big difference is the UFC was never at risk of going out of business for cancelling those events and PFL would be lucky to survive.
They put on a good live show when we went.
The season thing is stupid though.
