Professional Fighters League (PFL) recently parted ways with former CEO Peter Murray.
Murray was replaced by new CEO John Martin back in July and moved to CEO of PFL International. In addition, longtime MMA reporter, Ariel Helwani, was ātold the company very recently laid off several long-time employees.ā
From the promotionās official statement:
āAs founding CEO of PFL, Peter played an integral role over the last eight years in the leagueās growth and evolution, helping to strengthen the organizationās business operations, expand its global footprint, and establish PFL as a force in the sport of MMA. His leadership and commitment were instrumental during a period of significant development for the company.ā
āāPFL would not be here today without Pete Murrayās relentless entrepreneurship and selfless leadership,ā stated Donn Davis, PFL founder and chairman. āHe has been my trusted and valued partner building the company and I look forward to his continued support.ā Peterās impact will remain part of the sport and PFLās foundation as the organization continues to build toward the future.ā
PFL returns to action with āRoad to Dubaiā on Feb. 7.
Why 6 months later for a statement? Lol.
it gets better
ttt
Of course he would jump off a sinking ship, that way he can point the finger at someone else.
Remember this āhuge signingā? What a joke of a promotionā¦
Same with them making a huge deal signing Francis calling themselves and UFC 1A and 1B, only to have Francis fight 1 fucking time in 3 years for them.
Hopefully the new person in charge actually enjoys and knows literally anything about the sport! Donn admitted to not even watching the fights and not being a fan of the sport. When asked what his favorite MMA fight of all time was, he was given an easy layup to put some of his guys over⦠What was his response? His favorite MMA fight of all time is a boxing match!
Enough with the āRoad to Dubaiā, PFL MENA, PFL Africa, PFL Europe bullshit. Just make events with the compelling matchups and stop making it so damn confusing and hard to follow! and enough with the horrible pacing, production, and insane amount of time between fights where absolutely nothing happens! It aināt that fucking hard.
