The bigger issue is the refs never punish the eyepokes in big fights.
They will do it on the prelims to an unknown fighter, just to keep a little bit of face.

You DQ a main event fighter or two for fouls and it all changes
Because…Fouls change the Championship fights even more than most clean strikes
A good foul can get you a round or two, and you are only issued a “warning”.

In all my years 20+ of watching the ufc I’ve never seen a bigger crybaby. Making literal cope videos for sympathy. Also accusing Gane of purposefully trying to gouge his eyes out. And this cocksucker was fighting for the baddest man on the planet belt. If this was warfare in gladiator days he’d submit to the enemy. He’d cower in a corner while his village is raided and his wife and daughter gang raped with no pushback. Jones had his bitch ass clocked from the jump.
